Notwane appoints new Coach

By Killer Pass Botswana

Debswana first division south outfit Notwane FC has appointed George Mogopodi as their new head coach.

Mogopodi takes over from Christopher Rabalago who was the interim coach after the sacking of Kaelo ‘Wire’ Kaelo in November last year.

Mogopodi has coached Uniao Flamengo Santos, Gaborone United and was lately in charge of the Botswana under 20 team at the recent cosafa tournament which was held in South Africa.

He takes over at a time when Toronto has had mixed fortunes in the highly competitive league. Their exploits to date have ensured they garner 17 points from their ten games leaving them in the third position in the league. The new gaffer will definitely have his work cut out if there are to overhaul Mogoditshane fighters and Sharps at the top of the table. /KP

Great move by Notwane management even though i feel the appointment should have been made earlier. Wish him all the best and hope he can bring the glory days back to Toronto family.
